Contributing around $450 billion to the Canadian economy, the Real Estate and Construction industry is currently experiencing a seismic shift. Affordability of residential housing, interest rates and restricted access to capital, and increased regulations including ESG are challenging the industry like never before. Prior to joining BDO, Steph combined her ambitions in business with her desire to positively impact the lives of others by focusing her earlier career in philanthropy. With more than 15 years in senior leadership roles within the non-profit sector, she developed a deep understanding of community landscapes. Having completed studies in Social Responsibility & Sustainability through University of Toronto, Steph brings her sustainability lens, industry insights and passion for the community together to help address the current housing shortage through Atlantic Community Housing’s mandate to develop energy efficient, affordable housing solutions.
